I think the Mise en Scene of this photo portrays the post-apocalyptic genre correctly. For example, I used the setting of my garden shed because I think that its quite an isolated place to take this image. Also my usage of the props, including the knife, empty tablet packet and a pregnancy test show that this potential character is a very trouble and affected person. I chose a grey hoodie and black trousers for my costume and this is very typical type of outfit for a post apocalyptic era because they are comfortable clothes and ones that wouldn't be used for special occasions in normal life. My body language is very slouchy and low, this maybe shows disappointment and sadness. I made sure that this image was quite dull so that the silverness of the knife was tilted towards the light to shine and this shows the significance of the object. I thought that it was a good idea that the only bright colours are objects of significance, for example, the knife and the pregnancy test.
